President Bush's decision to commute the sentence of I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby yesterday was the most outrageous act of presidential arrogance since Watergate. With the stroke of a pen, George W. Bush began writing the final chapter of his legacy as the worst American president ever. September 11 showed us that he was unprepared. The invasion of Iraq showed us that he's dishonest. The Iraq War and Hurricane Katrina showed us that he's incompetent. And yesterday's decision showed us that he's corrupt.
For all his empty rhetoric about patriotism and loyalty to the country, yesterday President Bush rewarded a man who was convicted of lying about a leak from the CIA. How can the government call on Americans to support the national security when it won't take seriously national security violations at the highest levels of government?

I would add: Harriet Myers' nomination; legality of torture; Guantanamo Bay; secret prisons in Europe; illegal wiretapping; Abu Graib; attempt to push constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage... Am i forgetting anything?
